In my traditional witchcraft background, crafting tools was emphasized. Among the tools I've made, making brooms has been particularly fulfilling for me. With decades of personal practice, I've integrated broom-making into my business, aligning with my longstanding spiritual and practical connection to this craft.
By crafting our own tools, we imbue them with our intention, purpose and needs. A hand broom is traditionally small broom kept by a fireplace to sweep up cold ash. Because of their size, they make an ideal ritual, or altar broom.
A cobweb broom can be used ritually to cleanse a space with smoke or sweep out of energy. It could also be used for mundane purposes as well, such reaching high corners of ceilings or fishing toys out from under furniture.
In the morning class, you will learn how to craft your own simple triple hand broom or a turkey wing hand broom.
After lunch, we will gather again and craft either a round broom or a cobweb broom attached to a beautifully-finished-by-hand stick that Amy will bring along for all participants.
By the end of each course, you will walk away with the knowledge of how to make brooms as well as an understanding of simple broom magick that you can use every day. As well, full-day participants may walk away with three made by you brooms.
